Robin Thicke Talks Miley Cyrus' Booty Shaking onOprah's Next Chapter: "Listen, I'm the Twerkee"

If you ask Robin Thicke, he's the "twerkee," not the twerker. The blue-eyed singer sat down with Oprah Winfreyfor an upcoming edition of Oprah's Next Chapterand dished about what he thought of Miley Cyrusrubbing her rump up against him while he sang his pop mega-hit, "Blurred Lines," during their controversial MTV VMAs performance. "It was funny to me. I's silly," Thicke said, noting that he was unaware of Cyrus' twerking until after it became a big deal in the media."I was walking out towards Miley, I'm not thinking sex. I'm thinking fun, you know?" When pressed by the former talk show queen, the 36-year-old popster remarked that he was focused exclusively on performing. "Just remember, I'm singing my butt off. So I'm sitting there, I'm looking up at the sky, and I'm singing. I'm not really paying attention to all that. That's on her," he added with a laugh. "People ask me, 'Do you twerk," I go, 'listen, I'm the twerkee. I'm twerked upon. I don't twerk myself." That doesn't exactly jive with what Thicke toldVanity Fairrecently when he admittedhe was aware the "Wrecking Ball" crooner might be bending over by him and that the envelope-pushing was fine by him. "Let's give [the audience] something they're not ready for," he said at the time. "Let's make them talk." Of course, this is also the same guy who had gorgeous half-naked female models dancing around him in an uncensored versionof his music video for "Blurred Lines"—not to mention the tune's lyrics seemingly invited Cyrus' crotch attack. The “Blurred Lines” singer gets candid about Miley Cyrus twerking on him. Hear what he reveals on “Oprah’s Next Chapter.” "One thing I ask of you/Let me the one you back that ass to," Thicke croons, later adding, "So hit me up when you passing through/I'll give you something big enough to tear your ass in two." It's worth noting Thicke's wife, Paula Patton agreed with her hubbyabout the whole fuss over Cyrus' twerking, calling it "funny" and saying "Robin can handle it." For her part, Cyrus has shrugged off the controversy and even poked funat it in her opening monologue last weekend onSaturday Night Live. Thicke's interview onOprah's Next Chapterairs Sunday, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. on OWN.
