R. Kelly Will Trade Black Panties For White Panties On Next Album

R. Kelly is no stranger to sequels. The Pied Piper has twice revisited his 1993 R&B classic with 2000's TP-2.comand 2005'sTP.3 Reloaded, so in true R. Kelly fashion, the singer/songwriter is ready to add on to last year's Black Panties with the aptly titled White Panties. "You can expect a whole other level," the veteran hitmaker told V Magazine for their Spring 2014 issue. While Kelly has proven to be versatile making inspirational ("I Believe I Can Fly") and romantic (almost anything from hisHappy People/U Saved Me,Love LetterandWrite Me BackLPs), he specializes in the types of overly sexual tunes that he presented on Black Panties. "It was really for my fans. Everyone has been asking me when I'm going to do another baby-making album, because that's what started me out," he said. "I've been all around the world musically, in every genre. I can write 'I Believe I Can Fly' and I can write 'Bump 'N' Grind.' Now is the time to bring it back around." Kellz also plans to bring his 1990s magic back around with Mary J. Bligeon their upcoming King & Queen Tour and a new album with the same name. Both artists got their start over 20 years ago, recorded R&B classics and helped to shape the genre into what it is today. "It's a very exciting thing when two people like Mary and me come together," he said. "I'm in the studio right now working on a song for me and Mary. I'm looking forward to proposing that we do a whole album together."
